Our Aim
The main aim of Sadkowski Lab is to uncover the biological mechanisms that control muscle regeneration, satellite cell activity, myogenesis, and muscle degeneration.
Our research team aims to integrate experimental models, transcriptomic profiling, multi-omics approaches, and bioinformatics tools to better understand muscle physiology in both healthy and pathological conditions. Particular attention is given to muscular dystrophies, livestock muscle traits, meat quality, and molecular responses to nutritional or therapeutic interventions such as beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate (HMB).
Ultimately, our goal is to translate molecular and computational discoveries into meaningful biological insights that may support improved therapies for muscle disorders, enhance animal production traits, improve livestock health, and contribute to a deeper understanding of muscle biology in animals and humans.
